The Office of Community Resources will present a Job Readiness workshop to the clients of the Druid Heights Re-Entry program on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at 10:30 a.m.
Saturday, June 14th is “Dress Up the Corner Day” in Druid Heights. Volunteers will plant flowers on the corners of Gold Street and Madison Avenue. Members of the Druid Heights Green Thumb Club will join the congregants of St. Martin Church of Christ to beautify the corner and the area around the upcoming Franklin Center.
Wednesday, June 18th at 5:30 pm… Meeting with the Druid Hill Avenue Home Owners Association. If you are a homeowner in the 1800 through 2200 Druid Hill Avenue… please join us.
Thursday, June 19th at 5:30 pm the Third Thursday Open Mic Poetry Slam at the John Eager Howard Recreation Center……. 2100 Brookfield Avenue. Anthony Pressley will host this event.
Monday, June 23rd… Baltimore City Youth Works employees will begin training at Druid Heights Community Development Corporation. They will be trained to serve as Junior Camp Counselors at the Druid Heights Educational and Cultural Enrichment Summer Fun Camp program.
Saturday, June 28th is the monthly community meeting! Students from the University of Maryland School of Social Work will present a “Day of Insight”. There will also be a presentation from Show and Tell Fitness Corporation to address the need for proper dieting and regular exercise in order to promote a vigorous lifestyle.
